<t>Talking about Paladins. If Paladins are a standard class, than for god's sake, make Blackguards a standard class too. They get much the same abilities, but in reverse (aura of courage vs Aura of Fear, bonuses to saves based on CHA modifier, MUST follow a god (or powerful demon, Lay on hands vs ca...

<r>rofl @ Talwyn's suggestions. Never know, some people might play those variants <E>;)</E><br/> <br/> But yeah, too many options are just as bad as not enough. Personally, I think Elves should be ... Elves, Drow Elves. "Racial" differences should be in direct relation to their environment. eg: Swed...

<r>I concur. What half decent, loving father would allow his own flesh and blood to become as depraved and evil as her mother? Perhaps Corellon is like the backstop* in D&D for Eilistraee?<br/> <br/> Time will tell. And no, in the short term, not al lchange is good, but remaining stagnant is eve...

<r>3.5 books will only be "obsolete" if you're actually playing in a game that uses 4th edition rules. Hell, they're obsolete if you're playing in a 2nd or 1st edition game, too, and some people probably still do play 2nd edition.<br/> <br/> People still play Planescape, Mystara, Dark Sun, Dragonlan...

<t>If you read any backstory to 3/3.5 edition, Elves where brought to Faerun from another world. Just as the orcs where, just as some human races were.<br/> <br/> Still.. considering Elves and Orcs were brought to Faerun about 40,000 years or so ago, then yes, any (read: all) born in that time shoul...

Well, considering in 4th edition, Drow and normal elves are apparently separate races, maybe it has been deemed that Eilistraee is no longer needed?
I could be wrong, I hope so. But even if I am not, remember, no one is [i:1jgpfpbx]forcing[/i:1jgpfpbx] you to change to 4th edi
