<r>Just thought I'd point out that Eilistraee hasn't been around since the original D&D (or 1st ed. as you put it). She first appeared in Ed Greenwood's 'Drow of the Underdark' in 1991, which was an AD@D (or 2nd ed.) supplement.<br/> <br/> You can still purchase the pdf online, since it's the be...

<r>Well (as you said Fire_Wraith) Dragonlance was effectively killed off by WotC, and the whole series of Weis and Hickman novels were incredibly popular (and lucrative) for TSR. <br/> <br/> I'm afraid I do see FR go the same way.<br/> <br/> When 5th edition comes out (which, no doubt, we'll only ha...

<t>Drizzt is a cash cow that WotC/Hasbro will be milking as long as Salvatore can churn out novel after dreary novel (they aren't bad but after so many novels already I'm sick of reading about him...). So whatever you read about him being killed off isn't true.<br/> <br/> Fire_Wraith I loved your po...

<t>Well I've just caught up with the news and it is disheartening. To be honest, though, I wasn't too surprised after reading the Orc King a few months ago and learning of the changes being made to 4th edition FR.<br/> <br/> As others have suggested, what I don't understand about the changes being m...

<r>I'd hate for Eilistraee to become twisted and slowly sink into Lolth-like depravity.<br/> <br/> Unfortunately Hasbro, who run things now, seem on an urgent mission to simplify everything. And what's more simple than all drow being stereotypical villains? (well except Drizzt because people buy Sal...

<t>It may also be due to the Moon aspect of Eilistraee's portfolio. The moon has often been portrayed (in much European poetry for instance) as a feminine symbol. <br/> <br/> Therefore to worship or venerate the moon or moonlight requires one to be a woman (or at least be in touch with your feminine...

Well given that the Lolthian idea of a warm welcome tends to involve lots of spiders, sacrifices and hugging a yochlol, I might just pass. ;)

Thanks for the thought though! :))

Well I've played this and I can promise you you won't be disappointed!

It's the most wonderfully cinematic of games, and fuses that with a brilliant story. The only down side of Mass Effect is that by the end you're left wanting more. :'(

Hello everyone

<r>Hello everyone,<br/> <br/> I've always loved Elistraee and after starting to play a cleric of the Dark Maiden in an FR campaign (D&D rather than Neverwinter Nights), I stumbled upon this site. I was surprised to find so much info on Elistraee in such an easily accessible form, and browsing th...
