Re: General wellness check
That's pretty much my situation as well. I'm just tired of this state.

Re: A new lore video since our lady's revival...
Yeah, he could have mentioned that Eilistraee has worked to welcome males in her clergy, and now she has priests of any gender. Also, he says that males couldn't be paladins, but they actually already could in 2e.ù I mean, since he went to the FRWiki (he quotes some of the stuff I wrote for the Eili...

Re: Drow in Baldur's Gate 3
Someone posted a datamine of the upcoming paladin options. Apparently, they didn't go for the 5e oaths, and tied each paladin subclass to a deity. Seems that Eilistraee gets her own subclass. I'm... surprised that this is happening, tbh. I thought WotC was going to disregard her forever. Though I'm ...

Re: Drow in Baldur's Gate 3
Quick update. I've bought the game but haven't been able to play it yet (hangs on a black screen when starting). It's early access, bugs are to be expected. This morning forumites found a very weird work-around for it (press-and-hold shift while right-clicking the executable and select "run as...

Re: Drow in Baldur's Gate 3
Well, it is nice to actually have the option to be a drow finally.... but, well... From this little teaser of what they are doing with the Drow in game, kind of seem like something Wizard might have mandated them to do. They have really hated the other drow deities for a long while now and having &...

Re: Drow in Baldur's Gate 3
The latters’ treachery drove the drow into the Underdark, where they splintered into warring factions. Seldarine drow can be found seeking allies from all over Faerûn, aiming to settle their conflict with Lolth - and each other - by any means necessary. Clearly appears to indicate the Dark Seldarin...

Re: Drow in Baldur's Gate 3
The only thing 5e introduces about the drow are Corellon's blessed. They're normal drow, but can change sex at will. They're introduced in the MToF book, the very same book that retcons a bunch of stuff about elven lore, and while it has a part dedicated to Eilistraee, it focuses on telling you how ...

Re: This Offical 1st Edition AD&D Character Sheet Has errors!
It isn't really that surprising. If big companies like Hasbro/WotC can massively screw up on even basic lore continuity *and* have errors in the rules as well, smaller companies will of course have the same kind of troubles. Even though, I must say, this looks more like not caring about putting out ...

It's probably for their adventures. They've repeatedly stated they're not interested in novels.

Re: D&D to remove inherently evil races
Actually, they might even rework stuff. The drow/elven history lays the basis for a more nuanced approach. The Crown Wars are not black vs white, they're pretty much dark grey vs dark grey. Instead of being the "eeeeevil guys", the drow could have simply been separated from the elves due t...

Re: D&D to remove inherently evil races
I get where they're coming from--there was a huge discussion last month over Twitter and Reddit, pointing out how WotC's worldbuilding was full of harmful clichés. Long story short, WotC found themselves in a sticky situation, which they TOTALLY brought on themselves. Eilistraee brings an awesome cu...

Re: The Official Eilistraeen Music Thread
It's a fitting song indeed. Rather upbeat, but it keeps mysticism to it, making it especially suited for a prayer. Not that prayers to Eilistraee need to be mystic, as Eilistraee is happiest when seeing artists create and perform (and she delights in sending burst of inspiration to them). Re: flower...
