[quote="Talwyn Aureliano":kfyfs6oc]Question:

is it better to have loved & lost than to never have loved at all?[/quote:kfyfs6oc]

Personally I think it depends on the severity of the separation. There's too many degrees of losing love to say conclusively. Sometimes you get over it, sometimes you couldn't give a shit and a half, sometimes the person hurts you, or you hurt them to such a point that nothing will ever be the same again and you may very well spend the rest of your life in misery.

Drinking large amounts of espresso can lead to quite an interesting experience.

They say that those who hesitate are lost but also you should look before you leap.
I say instead "cry hammock! and let sleep the dogs of war'

What do you think went through the mind of the first fish to ever eat a worm?

(good old Bill Engvall...)

I shall give a latin translation:

WORM - STERCUS! STERCUS! STERCUS! MORITORIUM SUM!

Well I thought the latin was better than the venacular "oh shit I'm going to die" :p and it WOULD be the last thing the worm would be thinking if it was capable of forming such thoughts.

I would say it is better to have loved and lost. If it is, in fact, love (not lust) that you lost, then though you are in pain, you are a better person for having been in love. For example, I am in high school, and I am in a wonderful relationship with a girl that I am in love with. I have had girlfriends before, but I have never felt the way I feel about her before. Essentially, this girlfriend taught me what love (not lust) is. Furthermore, since it is love, she cares enough to point out when I am doing something stupid. Since going out with her, I am less ignorant, more tolerant, and in general a wiser person. I know I'm just in high school, but the changes that have been wrought are immense.

When it ends, yes I will cry like a little girl, and go through a state of depression, but in the end, I know that I am a better person for having known her, and for having felt what love (not lust) is before being thrust out into the real world.

OK, time for my random thought...
If someone is homosexual, would he/she turn himself/herself on?
