Darkness over Daggerford - cancelled premium mod

Post by Aessinus »

Wow!
The DLA tilesets are stunning; I find the exteriors to be particularly refreshing. The absolutely best thing, though, is the map. Very BG.....

Anyone tried it?

I haven't tried it yet, but I did download it and was planning to give it a try this bank holiday weekend.

Glad to hear it's nice though. :)

[i:gh82k1qg]Nice [/i:gh82k1qg]is an understatement; it's beautiful. My goal is to get finished, at least once, before WCoC is released.

Just a guess, but I think there is going to be a huge amount of release activity in these weeks just prior to NWN2. I know of three more mods that we've done some beta testing on that are pretty amazing in their own right & release is imminent. ;)

It should be an absolutely glorious fall. :D

You're part of the beta testers guild? I didn't know that. :)

Guild?

No, just me & my lad. We often volunteer when a builder requests help though....

ye gods..if i don't get something better than my stupid dial up modem soon, and with it the ability to download larger mods, i am going to simply pull my hair out by the roots.

That's certainly a drawback. My dialup was so slow I cancelled the service & got a couple of 512M jump drives.

Luckily my office has a T1 that's quick - then it's only a matter of remembering to take the drives home. :p

Even so, DoD took about 30 minutes.

DSL.

Just watch who your getting it from. A blond, and a guy in a havayan shirt is a good starter.

I thought DSL [i:3t1eo0k8]is[/i:3t1eo0k8] broadband... maybe you meant cable or DSL?

And I don't think it matter much... it depends mostly on what ISP and what connections they offer. I've heard some suggest that cable is better... but that's mostly from cable operators. :p

For me, I'm quite happy with my ADSL connection. :)

Either or. DSL is worse in rural area's because of older phone lines, but you may not get cable, but in a city, it's just whos ISP you use.

As for Darkness over Daggerfall, I have to say it is one of the best Modules I have ever played. Deffantly up their with the Way of the Open hand and the shadow fall series.
