Only person I hoped actually died was Halistra, she gets on my nerves, like the guy who killed the mouse in the Green Mile, makes me wanna stick her in a chair with a dry sponge. Just a spineless coward heavily contrived and portrayed as some "badass"[/quote:318j43uo]
Considering that the series is named after her I doubt she'll die before the end of the third book. :p

In the end it just feels to me like they're trying to revert all drow back to evil, because evil drow are a bigger cash cow and that ticks me off so bad.[/quote:30ltnnb2]

But they're not. Not really. Though I feel you are correct in saying that, I just think WotC is wrong to think that way. They don't spend enough time amongst their gamers. [/quote:30ltnnb2]

Meh, just depends who you play with. I've ran a campaign for spider kissers for over 2 years before it came to an end.

Well the best site I knew of is gone, however you might at least look at this one: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Drow_%28Du ... Dragons%29

Try this one, probably the best drow info for the Realms I've found on the web to date. Primarily cannon info straight out of the old sourcebooks, though the site was updated for 3rd edition wherever possible.

Thank you so much.. this might be helpful indeed :D... also.. since i don't know much bout elves other than what I have seen in Lord of the Rings and read in one book which i feel inlove with... I keep saying Quin's mother is an Light elf... is there such a thing.. or can someone help point me in the right direction for changing the "Light elf part into an actually clan of elf?"

In Forgotten Realms, the Lios Alfar, or Light Elves, would refer to a Sun Elf (aka Gold Elf or in standard D&D settings a Grey Elf), Moon Elf (aka Silver Elf or in standard D&D settings a High Elf), or Wood Elf (aka Green or Sylvan Elf).

Which of the surface elven races depends on you. You'd have to read up on them to see which racial/societal outlook best fits your character.

The only place I've seen them use Lios Alfar and Svart Alfar in the Realms or D&D in general is in the Plancescape material, on the Plane of Ysgard, but that only makes the distinction between surface elf or drow. The Asgardians don't seem to know (or care) that there are actually several different subraces of surface elf. Ysgard is where Elistraee's domain was located in 2nd edition.

okay, I'm currently knee-deep in Storm of the Dead...and something I noticed (And major spoiler warning for those that haven't read, though I suppose that's a given in this thread), is that...something is [i:k19pbux2]majorly[/i:k19pbux2] wrong with the crescent blade...which would explain what I've heard about Qilue's actions later in the book with Kiaransalee's priestesses...and why she's become a tad more severe and rather guarded since taking up the blade. My theory's simple (and states the obvious, I think), but...it seems Lolth has done something to the Crescent Blade, with how its effecting its wielders now and the eerie whispers...but, that's just my thoughts on it, and I can't help but wonder where it's going to end up...

though, again, I haven't finished the book...so I have no idea if things will be figured out by the end of it.
