As I said, try and ignore the video. In fact, [url=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X1CXsal-t44:2qfqottr]this video[/url:2qfqottr] fits the style somewhat better, but since that's the actual scene from the series the quality of the music is somewhat less.

And no, just to be clear, Shir'le isn't anything like Xena (in fact, the song is called [i:2qfqottr]Tara's[/i:2qfqottr] Dance, not Xena's Dance). This is purely about the style of the music (and I agree with Unen that the music in the series is great) and the lyrics, not about the series it comes from.

That said, I do like the series for the most part (ignoring the comic episodes).

One of these days I'll have to write up the lyrics and write up an interpretation from an Eilistraeen standpoint. But I think you'll get most of it if you see the "you" in the lyrics as meaning to be Eilistraee.
