Dear players,

Please ignore the post by CPLShadow. I have asked the admin's to delete it. The In-Character thread says: "Please read (& reply to) the organisation thread first" for a reason.

To Kami - I like the list. It's clear you've had some fun coming up with it. Obviously, it makes sense if Dae knows the uses of each too. This will ensure she can trade them along with other things.

To Bhaern - Thank you for deleting the post. There is another one, which I've just reported. Kami's comment of "It shouldn't" was in response to my question about whether her herb-list broke the setting.

Hello,

The game could probably cope with one more player/organisation.

The game involves players who lead small groups, which in time will contribute to the formation of a city. For example, one player represents a drow matron, who leads a small house that will in time become a large house, and, hopefully, has a position of power in the city.

The game is set in a plane, which is growing. Most of the plane is unknown to the players.

Gameplay will mostly take the form of council meetings, whereby each player says what their house or guild or organisation has done and what they will do. I have chosen this format since I think it works well with the play-by-post system.

Can you have a read of this thread and let me know about your main character and his followers please?

Thanks.

My main character is a male wood elf 5'8" named Glather, and weighs 125lbs, he carries a small dagger strapped to his right thigh and a quiver of arrows on his left hip and a oak long bow on his back and in his right hand he holds a short spear. He has blonde long hair and blue eyes light skin wearing a green armor (medium). He and his band of 5 other wood elves lived in a small forest outside of Camelot in a village that was destroyed by a band of forest bandits. Each person in the group is an expert archer and has knowledge of the use of plants in potions, healing, energy, sleep etc.

I'm glad you liked the list. And it was fun.

But looking at it I realized there is a lot more flora one would find in a wood, or area with water. Not just root type vegetables, but also tubers, grains, and such.

Then taken into account wild herbs, fruits, and starches. I'll have to research what sort of vegetation one would find in the northern European area.

Sorry is I seem a bit like over stepping my bounds. I have a bad writers habit of fleshing things out to the smallest detail. Even if it's just some thing as simple as what's found in a single area. Feel free to tell me to stop.. :D

Do any of the houses actually have ' scouts' out in the woods yet, or is that still in the ' planning ' effect stage, and as of yet haven't been done yet.

I just need to know if Dae's going to run into anyone she's not expecting

It could be a useful thing for Karazan to trade, if there were rare plants which could produce the effects of RL products like :
Hashish or Penicillin or Viagra.

Not that i would like to see Karazan become the drug capital of the world. ;)

Hehehe.

Nor would I. but having medical plants is helpful.

And having herbs or spices goes a long way of making a bland stew taste more wonderful.

Hemp is a factor if for nothing else then rope. Penicillin is a form of bread mold, so that's possible with a little refining. Not so sure about the Viagra.. but there are plants that do something a kin to it..

* snerk* I really can't wait for peoples reactions when they come across what looks like a White skinned Surface elf...in the company of drow. Every other scenario i've put her though.. people always have this urge to ' save ' her. I wonder why.

I would suggest you have a good look around the woods and see what you can find to take the duergars interest...but our characters have yet to meet.

If she looks like a winsome princess....can you blame the guys ? ;)

Hahaha. Well I don't know about a winsome Princess. But she'd turn a head or two.

Its now a week since we have heard from the DM.

Is it bad form to move the story on a wee bit without him ?

I was thinking that zellak could have escorted the Dwarrows back to Karazan.
And the game could resume in the Council Hall. ???
