Though Silke senses the observations of Alkemar she dances until she is near the dais where the High Priestess stood. Yet though she acknowledge the woman, it was not the High Priestess the Silke turned her attention to. She stopped and looked at the space that Eilistraee stood and for now only visible to Silke.
"Milady why have you summoned me here so far from my new home?" Silke asked looking at Eilistraee.
"My child, my sister welcome home. I am so happy that you answered my call and in due course I will reveal to you why I have brought you home Silke. For now though just revel in the festivities and honor me," said the Dark Maiden.
Silke only noticed that others had stopped and observed her conversation after the Avitar chose to bid her to enjoy the festival.
"Oh great, now everyone of these people will think me mad or at least a bit touched," thought Silke, as she scanned those gathered here in this haven.
Silke bowed towards the high priestess and said, "Oh matron and high priestess of this temple and community I have been brought home by the Lady of the Dance for a purpose I have yet to learn. I wish to introduce myself on behalf of my mother Nedylene Vrinn the former matron of the followers of Eilistraee from the village of Morn's Forge on the northern edge of the High Forest. I am Silke Rahn Ranger, Rouge, and Shadow Dancer, but above all else a loyal and faithful servant of the Dark Maiden."

Drow on the Surface face as many dangers as those in the Underdark. Just because the Rivvil is friendly does not mean he wishes to help you, he may just want to get you off guard before knifing you.

Gallea studies Silke a few moments, then stands forward to embrace her and kiss her on the checks. "Welcome Silke to our gather, perhaps some food and a place to rest before we address the task that comes to us? There are always danger about us, that you were called here and not another does concern me some. In time though we will have the answer."

"Thank you milady, I have been gone for two score or more years on the world of my father or at least one like it. It has been since the month of Tarsakh in the last year of the Neverwinterian War with Luskan and the same year that Lolth followers made war against Waterdeep that I last stood on the soil of Toril," Silke. "The journey from the portal where I arrived home was long and arduous and my journey is yet to be completed. I would appreciate the rest and the sustenance."

When she was dismissed Silke allowed one of the priestesses to take her to a table that had several dishes most popular with surface dwelling Drow, but others were popular in Human inns or taverns as well as those popular with Faerie Elves.
Silke grew up in a village inhabited with Moon Elves, High Elves, Humans, Dwarves, Halflings, and Drow. There she had tasted the fare of those races learning to eat and love various taste. Then on Terra she learned to love the varied multitude of Earth Human cuisine. She even learned to cook some of them. Now she tried some of the varied fare spread before her.
After Silke ate she gathered up her belongings and let another priestess show her to the sleeping area. Once there Silke found an unoccupied palette and set her pack and other belongings next to it. She did not just dump her things, but put things down and organized them in an orderly manner. It was something Silke learned in the American military with whom she served as a Military Police Staff Sergeant.
Silke thought back on some of the things she had done on Earth and smirked.
[i:12bavocc]If my buddies in the MP company saw me now they would think that this is wild.[/i:12bavocc]
Silke just laid her bedroll out on the palette and then looked at the priestess that escorted her to the dormitory. "Thank you sister, but I think that I want to rest now. I have had a long journey just to get here and my journey is not finished. I am affraid that my path is a long one this time."
Silke opened a pouch on the outside of her pack. From it she took out a wire bound journal. She wrote in it about her day and evening. Then she wrote down a thought. [i:12bavocc]Now I rest and have time to consider the road ahead. All I can say is I am glad that it is Summer back home and I did not have any Summer classe at Washburn this year. It is also a good thing that the 137th Infantry Brigade is staying home another year. I feel that if Eilistraee had called me while I was on active duty I would have been charged with desertion and would have to face the consequences when I returned home. How could I have explained it to a Court Martial panel.[/i:12bavocc]
