[u:3cdi22xy][b:3cdi22xy]Physical Description[/b:3cdi22xy][/u:3cdi22xy]
Vorrick is slim even for an elf standing 5'8" tall. He has red eyes that seem to glow hinting at his infernal power. His head is shaved though his eyebrows are a silvery white. On the left side of his neck Vorrick has the shape of a spider branded into his neck(more about this in history). Vorrick wears a simple chain shirt for protection and carries a long sword at his hip and a dagger in his boot.

[u:3cdi22xy][b:3cdi22xy]History[/b:3cdi22xy][/u:3cdi22xy]
Vorrick is the youngest son of a minor merchant family. Early in his life he realized he possessed a natural power in him that went far beyond that wielded by his siblings. Like most Drow males he received instruction in both martial combat as well as magic taking more interest in the latter. Growing up Vorrick was very careful about how much skill he displayed knowing that appearing too capable would result in his death as quickly as appearing weak.

When he reached his 80th year his youngest sister Larien, still decades older than him, branded his neck with the image of a spider saying she intended to convince their mother to make him a slave and that the brand marked him as her property. Luckily for Vorrick his mother never agreed to it but the threat hung over his head for the remainder of his time there.

At the age of 90 Vorrick had grown tired of his treatment and decided to leave. One night while the house was asleep he snuck room to room leaving a dagger imbedded in the chests of all his female family members until he reached Larien's room. He found her praying to Lolth and crept in silently behind her. He stab her in the back with his dagger so that she fell limply to the floor, paralyzed but still alive. Using the coals from a brazier in the room he heated the blade of his dagger and left a long scar from the corner of her right eye to her chin. Satisfied with himself he left his sister, alive and in pain, and went out into the Underdark.

For 20 years he wandered the Underdark with no real purpose. He began to hone his natural power and sought out challenges in the wild. It was on such outing that he came across a priestess of Eilistraee. Thinking her initially to be a priestess of Lolth Vorrick approached her intent on torture and murder. Despite his best efforts the priestess noticed his approach and oddly enough smiled at him. Thinking she was preparing some spell Vorrick attacked bringing all his skill and power to bare on the Drow woman. The priestess easily defeated him and when the killing blow did not come Vorrick began to accept that this Drow was different.

The priestess told him of Eilistraee and what the Goddess promised. Intrigued by this Vorrick agreed to go with the priestess and learn more. While originally Vorrick's decision was made more to slight Lolth and while Vhaeraun did have his appeal as a God his goals struck Vorrick as unrealistic; he has come to appreciate what his new Goddess offers.

While he does follow Eilistraee Vorrick's upbringing has made him somewhat resentful of authority and female authority in particular. Because of his refusal to follow orders given by even the highest ranking priestess Vorrick is seldom welcome for long in any haven of Eilistraee's followers and has decided to worship the Goddess in solitude seeking out larger gatherings of her faithful only when need forces him.

I like it. :)

Interesting Logic Trick poll too. From your background, I expect you and I would both pick opposite answers on that one.

As for finding a WotC reference for the Warlock Class, I do not believe such a thing exists. Wasn't that class made by Obsidian Entertainment specifically for the NWN2 game? It's a neat class, I think, but I'm not sure it is or will become a canon D&D class.

The way they are talking about 4th warlock will be one of the core classes. Though it might be a placeholder name.

The Warlock base class for pnp can be found in the 3.5e Complete Arcane book.

Interesting character btw, Vorrick. :)

Ah, that explains why I don't have it. I don't have the 3.5 version of Complete Arcana, just the older versions. Thank you for the info, my shadowy friend.

Ok I must have taken a hit to the head recently cause I just figured out what you were talking about. I was wondering where I got that name from.
